Administrative Assistant
Spring 2026

We are seeking someone to support mostly remotely  (with occasional visits to campus to collect payments) with admin work including bookkeeping, customer service, registration, creating reports from spreadsheets, etc. Experience with Quickbooks and google spreadsheets is needed. Your schedule is flexible and up to you, however we are looking for someone who is able to respond to emails at least twice daily and stay caught up with tasks. The work is approximately 10-20 hours per week.

Day Camp Mentor
Summer 2026

We have open staff positions for our Summer 2026 camp season. 

​

Summer Camp focus includes:

 

  • Lots of Games in the woods and fields.

  • Hiking and exploring and swimming in the rivers and ponds

  • Live action role play adventure.

  • Traditional living skills

  • Daily ritual, seasonal ceremonies, reverence for the natural world. 

  • Naturalist skills and knowledge

  • Community building: leadership skills, problem solving, communication and conflict resolution skills.

  • Modeling and practicing community values: trust and respect for others and nature, ability to trust oneself, love of nature, social equity, sustainability.

  • Creativity: song and rhythm, art, craft, imagination, drama.

  • Child-driven outdoor play.

We are seeking staff who can offer mentorship in these areas as well as general group management, conflict resolution, and an enthusiasm for wild play in the forest. 

​

We have 7 weeks of camp this summer but don't need staff for all weeks. Check the day camp page for dates and let us know when you can work when you reach out.

Forest School & Afterschool Mentor
Fall 2026 – May 2027

We have one opening for our upcoming school year.

​

We are accepting Applications for a Mentor Position at our Forest School and Afterschool program. The Program runs September-December and March-June, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in Underhill and Fridays in Richmond, Vermont.

​

Our program runs on our 80 acres of land with a pond, a mountain brook, fields to play in and beautiful diverse forests.

Our Forest School's capacity is 24 children per day and runs 3 days per week with a staff team of 4 mentors. Additionally, the position includes working with our afterschool program on Mondays and Thursdays from 3-6pm. ReTribe offers other programs as well, including summer camps, teen rites of passage retreats, and adult programs. The ReTribe land is also home to an intentional community of 15 people. 29 hours/week, starting pay ranging from $20-23/hour depending on experience.

 

Forest School Areas of Focus include:

 

  • Traditional living skills: shelter and fort building, carving and wood crafts, lashing, cordage making, wild edibles/medicinals, cooking, fire by friction and one match fires, ancient hunting techniques.

  • Daily ritual, seasonal ceremonies, reverence for the natural world. 

  • Naturalist skills and knowledge: seasonal rhythms and attunement to seasonal changes, plant and tree identification, tracking, animal taxonomy, bird language, geology, geography, history.

  • Community building: leadership skills, problem solving, communication and conflict resolution skills.

  • Modeling and practicing community values: trust and respect for others and nature, ability to trust oneself, love of nature, social equity, sustainability.

  • Creativity: song and rhythm, art, craft, imagination, drama, role play.

  • Child-driven outdoor play.

  • Outdoor physical recreation: hiking, climbing, snowshoeing, running, jumping, river play.
